Do you know how that would have compared to this time last year?

No, the last couple of weeks I've had a bit of a wobble but I'm more than happy with it, for my uses it's proving just as useful as my D4. I've always loved the Discovery, I was a bit disappointed when I saw the new one but I've no regrets. LRs pricing will be the killer for my next one, if I've to dig deeper into my pockets then LR are going to have to up their game. 23.5MY Defender 90 X-Dynamic SE D250 MHEV Pangea Green

Might stick with the one I have. It has never put a wheel wrong, has only 18k miles on the clock and has all the gizmos I need. I have used a LR approved independent garage for a number of years and they are competent, efficient and helpful. They serviced my D3 all it's lifetime. 2014 MY Discovery XS Indus Silver. Sadly gone. Second last LR of forty eight years continuous ownership.

Depends on how good the salesman/dealership is, my salesman/dealership who I've dealt with for years has no issue selling them and the order book is healthy. 23.5MY Defender 90 X-Dynamic SE D250 MHEV Pangea Green

Just had this email from carwow:
Quote:Hello Paul ,
Great news! The Land-Rover Discovery 5 you configured on carwow has been updated by Land-Rover. The new model has an average saving off £1,349 off RRP, a fantastic offer on a brand new model.
Is that a little early to be discounting... I thought there was still a waiting list? 2005 D3 HSE

On the 17th of April in the "Who's getting a Disco 5?" thread i wrote:
"My advice would be: do you want one? Wait a few months....there will be bucket loads of unsold D5's. Huge discount prices are to be expected. At least here in France". Thumbs Up
I can say that this is already happening here...

If you think £63K for a used 2.0 SE is a bargain then you have too much money A new HSE is £60K
EDIT: realised you're talking about France 23.5MY Defender 90 X-Dynamic SE D250 MHEV Pangea Green

...yes, i was talking about France although i believe this will happen in the UK as well.
Only time will tell...
I also think that D5's won't hold their value as well as the D4's...but again, let's wait and see.

Hi fat bloke,
Yes, i haven't seen yet a single D5 on the road. To be fair, even D4's and D3's are not very common here in France. Coincidentally, today, i saw a gorgeous graffiti D4 with a belgium plate parked where i was parked. Got to talk to the couple. They had recently bought it new. It was a TDV6 211hp for tax reasons he said. I Asked about the D5...they were not keen at all so took the chance to get a"discounted" D4!
I'm looking to buy a low mileage 2016 D4 so i keep looking regularly at LR ads. I've noticed that a couple of D5's had their price lowered. Both were SD4 240hp. By memory they were around 2k euros cheaper...
I assure you that i can distinguish a DS from a D5...DS's look suddenly nicer! :
