Yup, using a 240v random orbital buffer, a £30 cheapy from Halfords. I don't think it gives any better finish, but it takes a hell of a lot less time!!!!
Measured up the doorway to the old bakery next door and the D3 is a couple of inches too wide to get it in there, which is a pain as with the present weather I could do with parking it indoors to tackle the next stage of slapping on products with fillers in them
Hey Sufun, that's not good. Was your D3 suffering from wheel wobble? Mine started to wobble around 50-60mph late last year, but as it hasn't got any worse I haven't bothered the dealer with it yet. I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

ND, Had the steering rack replaced due to judder and knocking when accelerating from start (i.e turning out from juctions!!)
Got the D3 back today from MJ Fews. Steering judder is now gone (I think) and they even sort out the noisy wiper. Not sure what they did but all I know was that I didn't have to pay The car still screams when I went through a puddle. Must be the EPB ... but will monitor.
Happy not to be driving the Ford Fiesta around today TDV6 SE

I got a £1089 quote for the damage from Tong
ND, do you know how much premiums get loaded up by when you claim?
Had full NCB before this & debating whether to claim or weather the storm of experience. Have £250 excess, so will my insurance go up by £750 over the next three years? Bodsys Brake Bible

For 2 doors? That's about the same as the quote Williams gave me for one door. And way less than the £1450 quote I got from GS.

sorry Bodsy, missed this. One of those string measuring exercises I'm afraid, as each company has its own criteria for loading premiums, and rates change regularly. At that cost I'd suggest a claim makes sense though. Have you got protected ncb? I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Paid my renewal last night & tried making the claim, but they were busy & promised a call back........
Will call them again today as I've got full NCB so figured the increase would have to be substantial to make it not worthwhile.

I just got back from a tour of Ireland. My company do several road-shows every year, and visit various locations, inviting local users to come and see new products, learn about changes to systems, and meet the staff behind the phones. We carry a lot of equipment for these shows, including pop-up stands, flat pack furniture, computers, tills, literature etc etc.
This time we had the entire inventory for the show in the D3, it was full to capacity. We also had to carry some equipment on the roof rack.
I left Stockport, and drove to Holyhead on Sunday, got the ferry to Dublin. Monday was Ashbourne House Hotel , followed by a drive to Charleville near Cork, and overnight stop at the Deebert Hotel in kilmallock which was excellent . After the Charleville show we repacked and drove to Athlone, stayed at the Hudson Bay Hotel which unfortunately I cannot recommend, as the service was very poor indeed. From there we travelled to Belfast, and did a show at Greenisland GC. We stayed in the Holiday Inn which was
This morning, I got the ferry over to Stranraer, and drove back to Stockport. The weather has been awful, and the D3 has worked hard, but she has not missed a beat all week, and has impressed everyone who travelled in the passenger seat, or seen it swallow up so much stuff!!
I did not see many other D3's, saw a red one near Athlone, and a black one near Cork (English plates)
What a great all round car the D3 is
