Today, and the past couple of days, I received a lot of comments about how good the car looks, and how it's nice to see one that gets used properly. As well as quite a few double-takes. Not sure why

Not today, but all week whilst down south, my D3 has been a concrete base tester. 2.75 tons of dead weight on the recently laid base for my new Compton Garage which is being built on Monday Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

Found out today that most of the car parks in Solihull have a maximum height restriction of 2050mm. Not a problem when i didn't have the expo rack and spots on
Fortunately i stopped just in time

Well Stuufed trainee
I've only had my D3 for 3 weekends, so its not had much of a chance to get used to me yet.
Training has involved journies up and donw the M6, boring, but essential.
Then for two weekends its been properly loaded with PA gear. This used to over tax my previous LR (a P38) to the extent where I needed to hire a trailer. The D3 just opens its rear end, foleds its seats out of the way and stuffs it in, now that is some serious hole at the back Now I'm thinking a roof rack is needed to take the small surplus that had to go in the boot of one of the crew's car, preferably a rack I can take off when not in use - I use some carparks that nearly touch the roof and a roof rack will put me overheight

I have often wondered how often when police stop cars on the motorway they might take a look at the cars self recorded average speed............while not highly accurate it could be quite incriminating if you fill up on the motorway and reset it
While I think it is not possible to self incrimnate like that it isn't exactly going to help the situation.end of an era ....... maybe a Defender when it appears.......
