I Tried out a cardboard and gaffer tape prototype today, and it does make it much quieter. However, it rained and its now splattered all over the top box and roof rack

The upshot of which is she takes delivery of an 07 TD4 Defender 90 County Pickup on 30th August
THAT'S why I don't have any money
Planned expenditure to replace the L200 that goes back to the lease company in about 6 weeks, so the budget is there for this (just). 'snot fair.... I wanna do the Croissiere and she insists on having suitable transport for her job instead I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Did a trip over to Isle of Skye yesterday. Went via Fort Augustus, through Glen Sheil along the absolutely stunning A87. The Skye bridge was impressive, but found the Isle itself very busy. Got off the beaten track towards a tiny village on the beach. Parked up on the roadside and had a long lazy picnic in the warm sun. Drove back to Invergarry and stopped at a riverside pub for dinner. Big mistake as the midges were numerous!. after dinner, we drove through the dark along the back roads towards Slochd, the driving lights were on for 50 miles, and saved an accident with a deer which ran out on me. The extra fraction of a second they gave me enabled me to stop. Also clocked a hare running in front of the car at 18mph! poor thing was slowing down after a mile though! then it found a gap in the fence. Great D3 country round here.

Sitting in the drive updating the software on my Parrot CK3300. It has got better and better with the regular updates. Not much else to do while it reflashes the unit.
