Drove through Keekle ford near Cleator Moor (Cumbria).
Last nights rain made it rather interesting, i wasnt expecting it to be as deep, had a few twitchy moments. New pants ordered

Fitted EGR blanks to the valve ends, cleaned the MAP sensor and did an engine oil change with my new oil extractor, oil was only 250 miles old according to the service book, but I don't trust such things and it was a perfect excuse to play with my new toy, the filter certainly looked well used...

Treated myself to a pair of led rear lights, nice and easy to fit made a change afer last week fitting new turbo, front upper and lower suspension arms, flexy front brake pipes & front a/r bar bushes and links

Fitted the factory adjustable height tow bar and twin 7 pin electrics, took the opportunity to take the spare wheel winch off and coppaslip the nuts and one remaining bolt, thother long since been snapped off as siezed. Spotted the next job, side steps have rotted underneath, so much so the drivers side is more air and rusty remains than metal, so that's got to come off for some cleaning up, new metal and welding... Taken off and then the brackets as well as they're completely f'ed. SWTSMBO needs them, so time to buy some new ones, begger.
No mention of the de-cat but "it sounds a bit throaty". I said it's probably the remap.
Just compared the smoke test results:
2013 (Previous owner): 0.95
2014 (EGRs starting to fail, IIRC): 1.27
Today (EGRs blanked, de-cat, with two-stroke): 0.17
