With the seats folded flat you can drop lining far enough just beware they do crease very easy, I've never had to get a roof lining out of a disco but would of thought with a bit gentle manovering you will be able to take it out through the tailgate, have done many on other cars that should have gone through screen opening but went trough the hatch with delicate manipulation.
ah i see, i thought at first the headlining was tucked up under the windscreen rubber, dooohhh
so it's simpler in getting it out through the windscreen
must admit if i can get it out through the boot that would be brilliant, out of the way
will be getting my son to help as there's no way i'm going to attempt it on my own
if it does come out can put it standing up on its side in the hallway , well away from any risk of damage etc
as u also say if i wind the front seat backs flat and all the other folder away i may be able to turn it at an angle then straight out the back
thks also about the creasing , that's what was worrying me in how much it will take before creasing, as i don't wish to find out

next month , march am going to attempt to finally get this headlining out
after reading a lot on this forum will start with the lights, side trims etc
mines the 7 x seater and also got no sunroof, which may be a blessing
having owned this 3-4 months i understand it a lot more
fingers crossed going to attempt to get it out the boot
as i've got to get these curtain airbags fitted once and for all before the mot in july
know it's some time off, but don't wish to worry , would rather have some time on my hand
just hope i don't crease it
because of my back i won't be able to lean in
will also make sure i take plenty of pics, so that it may help someone else
once i start will update this post of the outcome
my son had an idea , the curtain airbags are to be fitted on the drivers side , to remove the seats completely
that way i should be able in theory to stand it up sideways in the landy
only when i start will it become clearer

hi pete
hopefully we don't have to
just toying around with different ideas to make it easier to get the airbags in
old ones are in situ but they have gone off, so need to all come out
thought today whilst out shopping of an idea
got a telescopic pole that u normally use to put a paint roller on the end
to extend it to measure the width , then use it as a guide
will be a find out as i go along exercise
if possible and main goal is to actually remove it completely , so it will then give me plenty of room
also can carry on using it as i doubt because of my back it will be completed in a day , might be 3-4 days , as i will only be able to do little bits at a time

Sorry I have to ask, whats with the constant double spacing in all your posts? Are you a practising to be a poet or just a ham fisted iPhone user?Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

The way you're going, you'll need another box of empty lines shortly.
Didn't realise the Empty Line Police monitored this forum though
