That looks suspiciously like a loadspace cover ..but in reverse 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

My guess is, it is the load space cover. It's where you can store it when the middle and rear seats are folded to make a flat rear space.

Just thinking this through the load space cover will need to be fancy because if you can convert to 7 seats from an aeroplane who will move the load space cover to the storage position for you MY06 S - Gone but not forgotten

I think the biggest laugh the Land Rover boffins are having is that with all the speculating that has been done, we already knew what the D5 looked like as they have given us the Vision Concept.
Although to my mind they have left off the only notable feature, the doors!Andy

I believe that is the load space cover in its stored position, just like we have on the D3 and D4 for when the 6th and 7th seats are up 16 D4 Landmark

It's an automatic self deploying load space cover.

You can see the activity platform peeking out from behind the Disco. At least it will provide really good cover from tropical storms here in Queensland. Although I am worried what happens when parked in a carpark with low roof.

I do hope the newly fangled activity platform is as robust as the current split tailgate, having to be able to support 2 fatblokes, each approx 22 stone in weight!
So far, from the limited views of it, it looks to be quite a flimsy affair.
