This thread is getting to be ridiculous!!
I think the only people who should post are those who would buy a new D5.
Anyone else who buys a second car car is of no interest to LR.
There opinion does no count!!
Only joking, but it is true!!

Just buy the car that suits your needs, there is no obligation to keep buying the next version of the one you have with all sorts of added enhancements for 'life issues' that you never knew you had or realised existed
I'm still in a D3 BTW as it still does what is required and theeeeennn......???

Lack of split tailgate does not seem to harm the RRS
Lack of it on the D5 may be to differentiate from ffrr and may harden second hand residuals _my 18 month ffrr vouge with 15k miles and a few nice options currently worth around 59kIllegitimi Non Carborundum

Fast forward to 3.30
Yes, I know it's the old one, but the same applies. On the other hand, it simply has to fall short of the spec of a FFRR and it's just not built for the customer that needs the practicality of a D4.2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2
2015 - 2017: 2 x D4
2017 to date: FFRR SDV8
2023 to date: 2 x FL2 as โsecondโ cars ๐
2021 to date: Hinckley built โ14 Triumph Trophy 1200
2022 to date: Hinckley built โ14 Triumph Trophy 1200 & sidecar!

Clarkson's jacket seems to made of a very familiar material. Shown on here as an interior shot. Never take life too seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway.

Oh yes! A very similar shade of baby poo 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2
2015 - 2017: 2 x D4
2017 to date: FFRR SDV8
2023 to date: 2 x FL2 as โsecondโ cars ๐

2022 to date: Hinckley built โ14 Triumph Trophy 1200 & sidecar!

Thus the expected conduct for either scenario could be considered reasonably similar.
Get real
How dull life must be where everything but a major political event is ignored. Not a friend of McGovern are you?
What shall we do with the tailgate sir?
Doesn't matter.
And the bonnet?
Doesn't matter.
And what about the seating?
Doesn't matter.
What engine should we give it?
Oh stop whinging! Brexit is more important so screw the car...
