I keep meaning to do this.
Need to get the fuse and wires. The only place I have seen them for sale is Halfords.
We need them in the Forum Shop!

Hi Everyone!
This is my first post on the forum. I really like the info I read here in general, and especially this thread! Thank you Robbie for sharing this info. I have been searching the web to find a way to have the fairy lights on all the time.
I have a question before I install this mod. In the Netherlands I could only find mini fuses with wire in 30 amp. I think this will not cause any problems if I use these. Am I right, or should I keep searching for 10 amp fuses?
Thanks, Guido

Whilst I haven't done this mod, my lights including the fairy lights have been on Scandinavian mode, so illuminated permanently when the ignition is on, for well over a year with no issues of being used every trip.2012 - 8 Speed D4 HSE in Indus Silver with surround cameras, adaptive headlamps, privacy glass, rear entertainment, 20" alloys.

Is Scandinavian mode main beam and side lights on? Or just side lights?

Is this possible on a D3 with a D4 conversion. I've got the fairy light headlights and D4 rear lights. It's an 08 GS if that helps.
Cheers

I used 30 amp fuses (since these were the only ones availabe) and it work perfectly.
Still... if anyone can tell me if this might be harmfull to the wiring... I would like to hear about it.

It's not ideal as a fault such as a short to ground on the circuit may melt the wiring before the fuse.
