not yet - my attempts at fashioning leads not as neat as yours so was worried about doing a bodge job. Have ordered some piggy backs instead so need to wait for them to arrive. My D4 has the adaptive lights so am slightly concerned about messing them up by using those as the live feed - you mentioned that it did not matter if they were fitted or not - is that right? Was going to do some investigation with my multimeter to see what other lives might work. Busy now for a couple of weeks so might be end July job when missus is busy..

It matters not if adaptives are fitted or not as the circuit remains the same. With a fused link the adaptives will function as before and the circuit will remain protected by the fuses.

Thanks Robbie - am going with those as the feeds then as like the idea of them coming on with unlock. Will post a pic or 2 once done in a couple of weeks.

Still got my thinking head on... The adaptives are protected by 5 amp fuses but the lights are protected by 10 amp. Surely I need to use 10 in both and therefore the adaptives could overload before the fuse blows?

Don't worry, fuse sizes are chosen to protect the wiring and not the equipment at the end. Your LEDs will not trouble a 5 amp fuse. The LHS draws the most current as standard due to the filament bulbs in the number plate lights. When added all together they total just 0.8 amps. The RHS, with no filaments, pulls less than 0.3amps.

I presume this mod just saves the hassle of using the remote as I'm pretty sure I can put front lights in using key and can also put the reverse lights on as well by remote ?

Finally got around to making this mod. Very simple as Robbie did all the hard work . Loving the fact that the lights come on from unlock. Discovery 4 Landmark ‘16
