As mentioned there will be like no daylight all the way up in North that time of year (like 24 hours of darkness in winter and 24 hours of sun/daylight in summer, have a look here : http://www.timeanddate.com/sun/norway/nordkapp) and come to Norway with a as emty tank as possible, cause here all the gas stations have winter diesel at that time, i am not sure if they have more addetives the more north you go, and a very good batteri is offcourse needed, and also think studded tires is best for this trip.

Yesterday we had the Experience Day - Scan Covery Trial 2017: A briefing in the morning and in the afternoon the first trial in the Netherland before starting for real, going up north at the 6th of January 2017.
Taking the opportunity to raise money for charity I had stuck on stickers from sponsors who all did a considerable donation for The Dutch Cancer Society (DCS, KWF in Dutch).

And from the boys at work we had some good advice:

Fantastic, well done.
Did you have any problems in the end, Diesel, tyre choice, etc.
Im sure we'd all like to see more pictures, if you had the time to take any
Andi.

The Discovery was rock-hard, not one problem.
The only thing that cracked was I We went off once at low speed, that’s all, but no damage.
Tires I used were Nokian Winter tires (Netherlands / Denmark / Germany) and Nokian studded tires (Sweden / Norway / Finland), both did a marvellous job!
And, in the processes we raised 10190 euro for KWf, the Dutch Cancer Society by selling the stickers on our beloved Discovery.

Well done and great pictures. It really is such a lovely place to visit this time of year. And nothing better than doing it in a Discovery Discovery 4 HSE
