Suspension - a theory....
OK, I have a theory on suspension failures......
not going to post the theory yet cos it might prejudice the results - BUT, i've emailed it to someone else so you know i'm not cheating
basically, I've observed my disco 3 suspension behaviour over the last couple of weeks and I think I know the cause of some, if not all of the problems... we'll see
Note that 'errors' are limited to suspension errors only

I have placed a vote, but one thing I do know is that when the front or rear wheels are jacked up off the ground for a few minutes a suspension error is guaranteed. Found that at Gary's on the ramp, twice now.

Voted, hope it helps, are we talking about compressors or the suspension error warnings in the info screen?

Compressor failure is generally a secondary fault, not the cause

Now then you have got me intrigued, as the raising slowly/ when system cooled errors appeared after the Susp error message when my two compressors failed.
But tonite I'm getting the raising slowly/when system cooled message, and this is on a brand new compressor hours old. No susp error though yet.
My logic tells me there is an underlying cause for the compressor to fail if it is? which it seems to be, as all the dealers can see to do is to replace them. I know they did a system wide pressure/ leak and sensor check on mine, twice now, and they have spoken to LR technical.

So explain what the 'other' parking position is, with errors presumebly.

It's basically to capture events that don't fit in to the other scenario's.. I agree that, in most cases, the compressor is being blamed as the messenger, not the message
