Went to pick up the oil pump ordered at Citroen dealer who had quoted me £125 incl vat.
asked him for trade discount and he let me have it for £100 straight
Apparently had to be diverted via dealer in east Kilbride as none others in stock.

Just seen this thread, sorry if this has already been mentioned, I've not got time to read it all the way through right now, but just wondered if anyone had got a price from German Swedish and French?

Quote for Replacing the Oil Pump
I asked my local Indy to quote me for replacing the oil pump with a new OEM one provided by me.
His reply is: We would need the vehicle here for a couple of days. This is because we would need to remove the timing covers, timing belt, sump and we would need to allow the sealer to set overnight before re-filling with oil. It would also need an & oil and filter change for warranty purposes. Cost £468 incl VAT.
Now I'm currently at 116K miles and they did the belts at 98K. At the time I didn't have a clue about the pump issue as the priority was avoiding a major breakdown as, for health reasons, then as now I depend on the vehicle in case of emergency. Anyway I would be grateful for your comments on the above as I always thought it was a fairly straightforward job as I'm sure some members have DIY'ed it!
