Was up in a very chilly Aviemore earlier in the year, parked next to another D4.....pressed the button from the hotel bedroom and went down 20 minutes later to a completely frost-free and warm car.
The guy in the car next to me wandered over and thanked me for costing him money,as his missus had asked mine how we did that, and insisted he get it retro-fitted to their car.....
At least if your wipers are in Auto,it's unlikely they'll get knackered with the remote FBH function clearing the screen "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...

9th November. Saw it coming. Just saying
Now, if the original alternator was replaced at 5.5 years old, that means I have 12 months before i need to replace this one...
Due to the company chariot being rear ended on Friday, this morning I remote fired the FBH from the phone, then after breakfast climbed into a car with warm air blowing, heated seat on and heated steering wheel for my trip to work
Sadly now the hire car has arrived so I'm driving a coffee to work tomorrow, it has got heated leather seats and steering wheel though Altox GSM FBH controller thread

Don't go saying that Mikey,
I think mines still the original one.
Or are you touting for more business?
Mine was replaced at the same time as the alternator, so 4 years old. In its defence, I thought I was going to have to replace it 18 months ago, when it first went back on the road My D3 Build Thread

a passing observer would have been convinced mine was on fire this evening as I parked it up around 6pm following its latest MOT breeze - FBH exhaust fumes good enough for a Navajo Indian to order a takeaway in the next valley with!
