Hummmm.....
so here we go I have found that the pitch and spacing is exactly the same as the core of most BMW flip and lock connectors, some of you are very familiar with them recently on the D4 to D3 steering wheel conversions....
so get some via the scrappies!! and strip them down and then cut them down to the size required for the new D4 touch screen FFRR SC 4.2

Sorry,
i Thought that was the black one going into the D4screen. So where did you get that one?
Got a little confused as you show one picture of the black contact with a lot of cables attached. And then attached to the screen with 3 cables. But should it not be 4?
And if there is a rear camera even more?

All I can say is this mod is definately NOT. For you, as just by these questions your scaring the crap out of me
The black shown block is for the smaller grey plug for all the camera/tv/ venture cam inputs!
The bigger on has 7 in mine as I try something different from just the basic install.
I showed a pic of the small grey with all 6 wires populated and the the bigger one fitted for example in the bigger grey ply on the D4 touch screen.FFRR SC 4.2

I have followed this thread before doing it myself.
Got a D4 Screen but unfortunately withh ROW mark, so I do not know yet if it works.
Now runnin around to get the right cables an contacts, but it is not that easy in Sweden.
Have to get a car radio shop to make a Fakra cable for me. No shop found yet.
What I mean abot the contact into the D4 screen I understand it should be 3 cables from the old D3 kontact and 1 cable from the DVD unit contact with the ABS signal.
Am I completely wrong?

Pin8 is battery always on +ve
Pin 11 is the earth

This is the minimum
Cables can be bought online and delivery worldwide, use the supplied link, for the bit I got visit a breakers yard with some wire cutters!

Never mind.
I think I got it.
But still I understand that the big black on the right D4 just has 3 cables attached. So apparently the ABS cable is missing on the picture????

Where can I find a male connector to route the ABS signal from the DVD contact?
When having the D4 screen attached can the contact at the DVDunit be detached?

urhunden,
did you read the initial instructional information by Flack....? It tells you where you can get them (in the UK at least) but it then gives you a starting point. Plenty of them on ebay also.Bodsys Brake Bible
