Interesting Land Rover said they would void your insurance if the V5 was in the car as over here it is illegal not to have it (or a certified copy) in the car so the police can check the vin numbers match when they stop you at road blocks.
Also I am not sure this would holdif you took it to the Financial Ombudsman Service.Club Narpy Torch

It's either parked up locally waiting to see if it has a tracker, or it's already in a container being shipped away.
If you can, get some mates and drive over all the local areas, check housing estates etc, cover all streets and drive up/down them.
It won't be the first or last time someone has found their car by doing that.
Friends house was broken into last year, their Honda CRV was taken, it's never been seen again.
I wish you all the best but my fear is it's long gone and you'll have to get another one.
The car can be replaced, it's all the personal possessions that you lose that would annoy me the most.In loving memory of FA54WSK.
Rest well old friend, your work is done.

yes, I don't get the V5 thing either. I go to Europe loads, and have to have the V5 in the car for that so I just leave it in with the insurance docs......d4 HSE
CID have said they have no new leads, and so in their opinion it was stolen to order, and as such is a total loss.
I also had an loss adjuster come to interview me about what actually happened.
I do get the feeling that these days you are guilty until proven innocent.
I also can't see us getting a payout sorted out any time soon, so sadly it seems like we are going to be without a Disco 4 family car for quite some time!

Why the delay? Have LR Insurance not given you a clue how long it'll take?
Nope no indication of how long it will take from LR insurance.
The loss adjuster only came out on Thursday this week, that was the first appointment he had, he worked for G4S though, engaged by the insurance company, Which is actually Zenith insurance.
I have to say I have been singularly unimpressed with LR/Zenith insurance, and will not use them or recommend them to any one in the future.Nige - 2014 Disco 4 TDV6 HSE Luxury - Scotia Grey

My sympathies… it’s amazing how a bad situation can be made so much worse by bad insurance companies. Some of them are not many levels above the thieves that stole your motor!

It will be about now that potentially it's appearing in the trade press/media for sale having had it's identity changed....it is worth looking at Autotrader and Motors .co.uk for it being offered up.
It will obviously have had its number plates and visible VINs changed but keep an eye open for same spec vehicle appearing ....
In order to protect all of the other potential buyers of this car can you describe colour, spec and options you had put on your car. Most cars are never the same.... Each owner specs theirs differently I.e. Centre fridge, tow pack, colour upholstery, adaptive headlights etc etc.
It would really help others if you can spend two minutes listing these which may just protect someone and may just get your car back....
I have been looking in the usual places of a week, but not seen anything like it.
CID who attended told me it would have been stolen to order and there is no way it's still in this country, mostly likely Northern Africa or former eastern block territory.
Three were no extra items on my car,,as an HSE Lux, it had just about every option fitted, and no extras needed on top.
Apart for that it's black with ivory interior as per my original post.
Do let me know if you spot one that looks too cheap for its year up for sale though!Nige - 2014 Disco 4 TDV6 HSE Luxury - Scotia Grey

If it's not bad enough having some scrote come and take your property the last thing you want is to be messed about by your insurance company Cheers Ian
