Chris Tyler and I both have the ASFIR gearbox plate and diff guard combined with the Mantec plate. Pics in here and hereI know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.
OK folks. We have thirteen confirmed and I have to buy 25 plates. That's over £5000 of my money to go out with only half of the units being sold. I don't mind shelling out and being left with one or two in stock for newcomers, but a dozen plates in my garage is getting a bit silly
I'm not going to pull out of this and let you guys down, but I need some more takers on this one. Phone your mates, speak to the disco3 newbies and get selling these plates for all our sakes - well, mine really
Please!!!
Come all you folks that think this offer is going on forever. This is the third and final time that I'm going to run this group buy. The price of the plate from Mantec is going up so you could be saving about £100 on this one.
Mantec plate sign-up is still live. Get your name in now if you want one. The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom

I suggest that with those that expressed initial desire for you to base purchases on ......
1] a pm?
if that fails ...
2] a word in their ear?
if that fails ...
3] A VISIT!!
that'll get them moving!!!...... always on the road less travelled 🚧
No need for the heavy mob yet Ron! I'm not holding anybody else responsible for this. The thirteen that have confirmed are totally there, and the few who have not (or have removed their names) do not need to be 'coerced'. I am simply hoping to get some of the newer members interested in order to reach the magic number......The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom

Maybe a full description of the plate and it's benefits would inspire some more purchasers. I bought one because I will be going off road again and I have seen how LR like to charge for their parts. I used my D3 off road this year on what I would have called tame stuff but still managed to damage the plastic trim that the plate replaces. I think if it was pointed out by those in the know, what is actually protected and the cost of replacement etc, you could have a queue at your door. Add to that there is a £100 saving on this buy so get in quick or miss out. FFRR 2017 4.4SDV8 Autobiography. Cost so much I must be mad!
D4 HSE 2012 Like a second wife, more expensive but goes better! I almost cried this time!
D3 HSE 2006 (Almost 8 years together, true love)
Land Cruiser VX 1994 11 years together, wife cried when I p/ex'd for my D3

When sending abroad, it costs less for more
If you can get three or four people to take plates then the shipping cost per plate is significantly reduced. When I sent three plates to Romania it was going to cost more for shipping one plate than the cost for the plate itself. Those guys got together and bought three plates which made the shipping more acceptable. The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom

JMC: I'm willing to help out. So that you make more group buys for us in the future after this desaster. But first I want to find someone for transport.
So:Is there anyone of you that drives near switzerland or into switzerland on his way to his holidays and take it for me I will be the following two weeks away on holydays. Anytime after that will be fine.
Did ask in an other forum I partcipate if there is interest. What would it cost inkl. postage to Germany?

OK, after much thought (and saving my pocket money) I've signed up.
Last week Mrs Jads & I celebrated our silver wedding anniversary. I have told her tonight that she will be getting a nice silver Mantec plate to mark the occasion.
I hope to be able to install the plate once I have been discharged from hospital.

This certainly isn't a disaster at all
It is simply taking longer to find D3'rs who want one because so many people have them already from the first two group buys! The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom
