To those still waiting in reserve in the hope that someone drops-out, I can tell you that there is very little chance of you seeing a plate. The two I have left are both accounted-for, and I expect the first of them to be away this week. I already have e-mails from both prospective owners about payment and delivery so looks like they are gone.
My thanks to all who took part in this group buy. It has been very smooth and easy to administer at this end for a change. Perhaps I'm just used to the hassle now......
I have said I won't do it again. The price of the plate has now increased (due to rising costs at Mantec) and I don't know what another group-buy price would be. Furthermore, there seems to be only two or three people who haven't got a plate and I don't imagine it is worth trying to gather another 20+ people to run this again.
Still want to see some more photos from you guys of the plates in situ.....
Finally, if you want to know who got the best deal on their plate you will have to look towards Poland. Cost me twice as much to send it there as I charged for it so someone got a very good price (my own fault)...... The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom

Not much good to those that have not got one but here is the best pic I've seen of where a plate would be earning it's keep. Pic c/o bluebarchetta, SN's D3???

Fitted on Friday
Took little over 30 minutes without any help. It seems the bolts provided now differ from the original sets. You get four bolts and four nuts all the same size (15mm heads) -- no washers. You end up with two bolts that are removed and replaced with two of the new ones and two of the new nuts.Discovery 3 XS Auto, Stornaway, Active rear diff.
So long as it all fits together, who cares what bits are left over?
Looks good..... The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom
