So a quick Update, car picked up today, I have to say that I am more than impressed with QP online, If anyone ever needs their services, I can fully recommend them, Marko the owner is brilliant and honest, from start to finish he sent me photos & Videos at each stage, and the final bill was exactly what he had quoted me from day one
Car now has a 1 year unlimited mileage warranty

intersting Mike - do you do specific kits for this now? - be interested in a price for the conversion.

Not really. We had an MOT failure TDV8 lying around
Just to update on prices for similar - main dealer (who have been great generally) have just quoted 16.5k to put a new engine in, 11.5k for the engine and 5ish for labour (depending what else they might find).
Very similar story to OP here - already slowing to a stop on motorway for queuing traffic when D4 3.0 (with FSH) clattered & cut out.
At least in future the ones still running will be rarer....

Thats not £11.5k...
I expect it depends if they have quoted for new or reworked generally they fit reworked . they seem to be better engines when Autocraft have worked on them.

Thats a risky game as a lot of the cost is in doing the job.

Engine have to be available (legally) as the D5 used the same engine and LR are legally obliged to supply parts for at least 10 years after vehicle ceases production.
