Disco Smash on way home from Work - Bad language on video
Was driving home minding my own business, when the white Astra decided he wanted my lane. Simply no time to react on my part, so I hit him side on, here's the vid - But please be aware that I did use quite a few expletives! (although radio 5 was quite loud) :
I'm assuming that it's his fault?
Took quite a bump, shocked by how the Disco and I were thrown about
Managed to limp home after exchanging details, but steering wasn't quite right
Here's the damage to mine:

His is a company car, no idea how the insurance will work with that - spoke to his manager who's calling tonight to have a chat, I think he's keen to keep it out of insurance, but I think the cost of repair will soon add up looking at what I can see
all in all, not a good day!
I'm ok, bit sore, but otherwise good Iggy/Ieuan

He didn't appear to even look if anything was coming behind him. Indicated and pulled into your lane straight away.
D4 facelift?

Dashcam evidence is undeniable. Totally his fault, and I would think a driving without due care and attention would result if the police were involved?
However, that was quite a bash, there could be some expensive damage under there if the wheel took the brunt. Defintly needs a geo- check in case the chassis got bent.
Good luck.

You hit the kerb with your right front wheel at some speed. Need to get that side checked too.

Cheers Chaps
Aggro is indeed the worse part of this and I'm sure my insurance will inevitably go up next year!
Thanks pointing out the kerb Gareth, I did indeed hit it, so will add 'right' side checks also Iggy/Ieuan

Think you'll struggle with that ... Unless a blue uniform is part of your job.
I have a funny feeling he wasn't covered by the insurance... Be cautious talking to his boss..

I would ask why they want to keep it from the insurance. Ask for an honest answer, tell the manager you're a practical and reasonable guy, see what they come back with.
Plod won't be interested as no body was hurt. If they know you have camera footage too it just might speed up their response.

They might if he's driving without insurance. They get quite agitated about that sort of thing.Visiting from rrsport.co.uk
