Could be a manufacturing defect or there are some wires that run right there that go to the suspension unit attached to the front bumper bar, I wonder if over time they have rubbed against the I/C seam as the metal at the split is wafer thin Mark

Hi Mark
It was spot on, I couldn't quite understand the bit near the end about the Side Cover and the pic showed the top of the Rad but with the cowling removed?, it didn't stop me though
I misread (or more to the point did not read on) about the 2nd bolt to remove the Air duct, in the end I undid the two bolts holding the coolant expansion tank and power steering fluid header and attacked it from there with success Mark

Is that the screw I describe as fiddly? Mark.
