Repairs today - have warranty so keeping fingers crossed! |
|
Beloved D3 is in LR Ludlow today for probably ARB bushes and Ball Joints.
Plus it also seems like a new AMK compressor is needed.
I have warranty with Warranty Wise, so keeping fingers crossed tightly that they agree to pay a good chunk of the bill? Updates later after surgeon has assessed and given diagnosis 2 x D3's (Twins)

Warranty Wise decline Compressor |
|
Well, the bill is £2,000 plus VAT.
Considering this includes lower arms? With ball joints and ARB bushes, AMK compressor and rear bushes it is not as bad as I thought it might be.
BUT, Warranty Wise have already refused to pay out for the compressor, saying its not on their list of inclusions and I should read page 6 of their booklet. I am working away so will look at on Thursday when I return!
I pay £86 per month to them and have wear and tear cover, so hope they will meet me somewhere on the suspension, fingers still crossed 2 x D3's (Twins)

D3mad, is this warranty wise or warranty direct? You talk about both.

No prob. Unfortunately post manufacturer's warranty never covers everything. Just part of the joy of driving an old banger.

I bought a landrover warranty myself following a health check at Duckworths, the landrover one has been well worth its money. No quibbling at all over any claims other than wear and tear (pads and suspension etc) would recommend the LR one highly.

Fell foul of small print. I had done 81,000 miles on a 2006, so I had the 10/100 plan?
If I had done 1,001 miles less I would have been on the 8/80 plan and the compressor would have been covered!
May have to sell the wife! They are considering he suspension problems and I will know more tomorrow.

400 pounds for brake pads front and back is ridiculous. I think they are around 130 off nick. Unless you mean the discs as well
