Mickey what about a D4 3.0 engine, there is one on e bay at a fair price, from memory it only had 10000 on the clock.
If not the whole engine, there was a rhumour that the bottom ends are the same as the D3

You'd have to buy the 8spd gearbox too if its MY12 cars engine. Plus, I wouldn't fancy trying to insure a D3 with a D4 engine in.... Plus you'd need to uprate suspension, brakes etc...

I hear Global engines do them cheap! and steer clear of Direct Engines in Paisley, you may get my old one Joined the BMWX5 45e group

I did see that, and appreciate it. However, in the ad it says it has "issues". Would rather steer clear of that
