The base contains the optical unit as per extract from LR technical info "The rain/light sensor is an optical unit, which operates on an infrared waveband. The sensor uses the principle of the laws of reflection on interfacing surfaces between materials with differing refraction properties."
(one pad is needed, I ordered 2 pads to be on the safe side)
Still need to take this photo ..

Thanks again Rennos,
That's a great help. So the LR part I have attaches to the sensor base from the catalogue and sticks to the screen?
Still wouldnt mind seeing a photo, you know what the say a picture speaks a thousand words!

Have a look in my gallery. Sensor is placed below rearview mirror and is surrounded by a piece of privacy glass tinting film to make it more discreet from the outside.... You can also see the cable connected to the sensor

Rennos,
Thanks for the photos, I see it now. Can you confirm that the part below attaches to the base unit in the catalogue link you've posted and should work both lights & wipers once enabled?

Yes this is the LR part I used and it attaches to the base unit in the catalogue. Once enabled it will work both lights and wipers.
