ATR? MTR? ABC? 123? What tyre shall i go for???
ive been thinking about investing in a set of tyres for the disco, thanks to this site im diying to take the car for an adventure off road so would like something which is going to look good on the car, not damage the performance or the comfort of the car for general road/motorway use, and are good for the lanes out there.
By the way im running on pirelli scorpion zeros 255/55r19, not sure if these would be suitable off road?
Anyone got any photos and advice?

I've got ATR's on mine - road noise is minimal - compared to the X Type Jag I have while mine in the dealers having some warranty work done and a service - its quiet!

ATRs for SWMBO's car, MTRs on mine come winter. As all-round (excuse pun) tyre ATRs get my vote. I've seen them take serious abuse in Tunisia & come out intact where there were several punctures on the "other" AT tyre.

The new AT tyre comes out this month (See AJ4x4 recent posts) they'll be available in 19" and 20".Bodsys Brake Bible
It would have been either a three or 7 shot image (Depending which Camera I used to take it!) combined in Photomatrix to get the HDR, then photoshopped to fine tune it and add the boarder - or it might have just been Photoshop (CS5) and used its own HDR routine. I can't remember now!
Looking at how wide it is, I think it was with my 5D, so would have been a 3 shot HDR job.
These types of shots are very marmite - either love or hate!Mark.

I've had 18" ATRs on for about 18 months now, been excellent through the bad winter up here and on all other surfaces but I've noticed they're starting to go 'off' a bit now despite still an even 5mm of tread on them. Just a bit of tangible under steer on tight wet bends but still a change all the same. Pressures are fine and no sign of damage either.
I'd get them again tho, no probs

Another vote for Pirelli ATR's, but the new General Grabbers look to be very similar and might be cheaper.

I've noticed the same, my 19" ATR's are down to about 5mm now and on a trip back from rural Lincolnshire yesterday in the rain, I had a couple of rabbits nose moments on some tight corners, the front end was washing out quite a bit. Still, after 15k miles to of only worn to 5mm is quite impressive, my previous Vredesteins were worn to 5mm after only 8k miles.
I'll be trying the Grabbers next.

ATR's so far excellent, last month done almost 3500 miles on them on all types of European surfaces from mucky off-road to smooth autobahns.... no complaints and issues
very quiet civilized rubber excellent off the tarmac giving very sure footed feeling in most scenarios well recommened
8K done since new still look like unused
