Hi everyone ... Disco3 and Disco4 owner
Hi everyone,
Bought my first LR at the end of 2022, a 65k miler 2014 HSE Luxury with additional rear diff.
Plan is for off-roading and overlanding for the first time ever.
After having owned her for 5 months and realised I've done nothing since, I have now also bought a Disco3 because it came with Prospeed rack, rack floor, ladder and rear shelf
Plan is to not keep the Disco3 after scavenging the camping / 4x4 bits, but you never know.
Im an embarrassment to the male species when it comes to any kind of repair. Ill start it, break something, not know what to do when the instructions don't cover a scenario and ultimately end up paying someone to do it for me, so that's going to come in handy when i start trekking!
Thanks for having me.

Good evening to all, have just replaced my 2015 Discovery Sport (which I have had for nearly 4 years) with a 2014 Disco 4, 3.0D, 104,000 miles, HSE, Corris grey. This should drag our caravan around a lot easier.
I do a reasonable amount of my own maintenance and certainly find the forums a mine of useful information, so thanks for letting me join.
I do get to work on my sons 2014 Freelander 2 and his 2001 P38 Range Rover (which is always needing something doing to it!), so have a reasonable amount of LR experience.
Cheers
Tony

Hello!
New member South Wales. On the look out for a D3 for various reasons, though the main one would be the 7 seats!! Hoping this place will help.
Cheers

Back in a Disco!
Hello everyone. After being in a L322 (supercharged) for the past 3 years I was looking for a change. While parked up over the weekend someone decided to hit my Rangie and drive off. What better excuse to go out and buy a 2016 Landmark in Zanzibar Metallic! I look forward to many years of using and abusing this one just like all the other LRs before it.

Repair
I had a dash that was flashing more warning lights than I could keep up with,
abs,no special function warning, ride level stuck on low, brake warning light, No high range ability no low range,No reversing sounder,No gear select numbers just a big E...
after reading page after page of forum chat I set about to find the problems.
Armed with a multi meter and my Isoft code reader I spent an hour just unplugging and plugging stuff in to find the fault..
behind the battery on the bulkhead there is a module that has 3 multi block connectors
the contacts were green with a corrosion
I painstakingly cleaned every connection and reattached the module.
everything back working...just reconfigure the gear shift b reversing in low for 100 yards then forwards going into all 6 gears ...cycle the key and put it back in high range.
I want to thank this forum for giving me the confidence to attack the warning light faults and solving my problem , I hate to think what a dealership would have charged me
THANK YOU ALL....

Hi,
New joiner here. I’m looking to purchase a late model D4 soon, hoping to learn a lot from the forum. I’ve had a 300tdi 90, a disco 2 td5 and a td4 freelancer in the past so I’m used to landies and their foibles!
If you don't have a spare-wheel protector yet, you need to be on the lookout for one.
They do come up in the for-sale section, but you're not so far from forum member RLD who makes the things !
er ... the above was aimed at Foxycustard when he created a new thread to introduce himself.
(yes, I am assuming it's a "he" .... but most women are too sensible to get Discoverys )

Compressor running to much when moving lr3
Hi all,
Just put a new compressor on my lr3, suspension raised but when I start moving the compressor runs on and off far to much, it doesn’t do it standing and can’t find any leaks, my I car soft says the gallery pressure is 367pa which is ridiculously low but I have pressure in the pipes ! The only thing I haven’t replaced is the air tank and rear valve block do the front and middle and the compressor!
The red lights been on for ages with a c1A00-54 control module fault, but I can’t get it to clear
I was thinking do I have a leak in the tank , but it doesn’t lower over night
Could it be a air tank leak or rear valve block ? As soon as the suspension is working the compressor kicks on and off
Any help would be appreciated i

Hi, after much deliberation, we have already bought Discover 3. It's going to be a lot of work to customise it by our own. Still to sort out the technical issues. But we like the car very much.
