Mark_Kent wrote:Hello everyone,
Hopefully I've come to the right place.....
I have inherited a Disco 3 2007 from a family member who fell ill and is unable to rectify the faults (and I think there are a few) and would love to return it with most of them done or at least I can say I tried.
Its a Disco 2007 HSE with a few age related marks but in pretty good shape and seems to have all the bells and whistles. It drives well and is not smoking so that's a positive I guess.
The list is quite long but the main two at the moment is the brakes and the dreaded suspension. The brakes work although they are rock solid at time with very little stopping power
The suspension comes up with a fault and tells me to reduce speed.... I think this could be the ride height sensor on the NSL rear according to the dash graphic so will take a look at that. Someone said to check with Land Rover that a recall was completed on the brake system?
Mot warning on( Drive shaft joint constant velocity boot severely deteriorated offside front) so that will have to be done..... is that a biggy?
The parking sensors don't seem to work neither does the maps.
Enough to be getting on with for now I think.
Thanks in advance for any help
M
Well I've not had much time to do anything apart from buy the Diag tool recommend (MaxiAP AP200) and read up on yje suspension problem... I Think it was a simple fix ....the tyre pressures were not correct so I took it up to the garage topped up the pressure and bingo not had the fault since...... I know it can be that simple we will have to wait and see. Just about to fire up the Drag tool and see what that tells me.

Afternoon all. New D3 owner here. Its a 17yo example with only 1 lady (literally) owner with only 39k on the clock. Has been used on her estate/sanctuary as a runabout/load lugger. All the usual bumps and scrapes with enough straw hidden in the rear cubby holes to feed a small army of horses and enough mud behind the plastic trims to build a raised bed!
Looking forward to having lost all my free time and having empty pockets
Any advice more than welcome 🙏

Great community to find!
Had a SIII Ex-MOD 24V FFR many moons ago and with my sons and I spending more and more time off the beaten track, I've got myself a 09 D3 Commercial

Hi everyone, I’m a long time member but only recently acquired my first L319. It’s a 2016 D4 Commercial and with the help of information on this forum, I have now fitted heated & power seats, re-commissioned the rear windows, fixed towbar, activated timed climate control and fitted the genuine remote heat option. Next on the list is Apple CarPlay.
Great forum with lots of info.
I’ve previously owned Classic R/R, P38, L322 and a TD5 D2 so quite familiar with the L/R brand
