Just bought my first ever Land Rover and it's a 2005 Discovery 3 TDV6 HSE with 381.000km on the meter (original engine and trans)!!!

Hi,
Haven’t been on here (or RRSport) for a few years, but just picked up a 2016 Landmark in Yulong White with Ebony interior.
Decided we needed some practicality back in the family with the kids getting older and chopped in my BMW M140i against the Discovery. Always regretted selling my previous one in favour for a Merc GL (which I’d never recommend!!) so looking forward to this one.
Also looking forward to popping back in from time to time.
One issue I noticed driving back from picking it up was a vibration / steering wheel wobble around 50mph. It’s had 2 new tyres (Pirelli Scorpions) on the front and when checking, the balancing weights don’t look to be new, so I’m hoping a wheel balancing sorts that
Here a dealer pic, but wIll get it all cleaned up and pop up some pictures. Current: MY16 Discovery 4 Landmark
Current: BMW 440i Cabrio
GONE: 2019 (x2) BMW M140i's
GONE: 2015 Mercedes GL350
GONE: 2015 BMW 335DX Touring
GONE: MY12 RRS HSE
GONE: MY10 Discovery 4 HSE

Hello and 2.7 V6 Td timing belt
Hi All, I have a Disco 3 2.7 HSE which is lovely but due a 2nd cambelt change (on time). Its also literally just started making a whirring noise from the front of the engine which sounds like a failed bearing (thinking water pump or possibly fan clutch). Could anyone point me in the direction of a good LR mechanic / garage in the Bristol / Bath area, as I don't fancy doing it myself. Ta loads

New to me Disco 3!
Hi all,
Due to a new dog in the household I have just got a Discovery 3- it’s an 07 2.7 tdv6 XS
I work on Defenders usually so this isn’t my usual bag but a 110 is just a bit too agricultural for daily driving!
I’m currently in the process of a D4 facelift so I’m sure I’ll be picking someone’s brain at some point!
Thanks-
Colin.

G'day from down under.
I have just bought a 2012 D4 2.7tdv6 230k on the odometer. I previously had a D2 td5 for 12 years and 440k. I heard about Robbies Guide through Youtubers "its LR time".
Hope to learn a bit more about it here.
Cheers Ben.

Hello my name is Andy aka Grumps and I am resurrecting a D3 2005. Major problems already sorted but I am experiencing epbm issues and wondered if anybody could help. Having replaced the drive cogs in the module I then set the new cables as instructed 5 turns, reassemble and tried the brake. Sadly the handbrake came on then off. A red P flashing on the dash. I have removed the shoes, cables and reassembled. After re adjustment to the shoes I tried again. Same problem.

Hi everyone,
I acquired my very first Land Rover a week or so ago...a fine example (hopefully) with a youthful 148,000 on the clock.
Having browsed here I have already rectified one of the faults - did a manual calibration of the XY sensor. So I think this forum will be invaluable. Although the next job is clutch & flywheel but that’ll not be a DIY job that’s for sure!
I’m based just outside Derby, don’t think I’ll be off roading my Disco but it will become my tow car.
Cheers,
Mark

Its best to do a search using the facility at the top of the page, check for relevant information then post a specific query in the right place or under an existing item in order to get information. Posting in this section , your query is likely to be lost.
Here's a link to good 'how to' on the EPB that might be useful by a respected and experienced member of the forum. There would several other posts with plenty of replies and information that also came up when I used Search. Hope you get is sorted:

Hello,
I do not have a Disco 3, but I am here to find out everything I can before I start looking.
In the past,I have had 2 V8 110 pick ups, a TDI station wagon 110, a Discovery 1, briefly,
And a 130.
After that I moved over to Toyota for a while and bought an 80 series Land Cruiser and a 79 series Land Cruiser.
Now I am keen to get back into Land Rover, and a bit more of a comfortable drive.
I have spent a bit of time in Africa, so I have a different perspective on what is needed in a build, and what isn't.
I would love to build my D3 into an over-lander.
Regards
Jason

There was a lovely Overlander for sale on here not so long ago... had everything on it you can think of... might be worth a look in the "For Sale" section...I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!
