Hi Alan,
Loving the look of your disco pal.
I'm thinking of fitting my spoiler over the weekend but might leave it java black, our D3 is the same silver as yours though.
I thought it might be a bit of a contrast to be black, might test fit without removing the light first though.Discovery 3 TDV6 Commercial 2007

Thanks Jason.
There is a silver D3 in the town, coded bumpers, arches etc and to be totally honest, i think the silver arches makes the car look too plastic. They are fine on the Java paintwork, but personally, i think the silver is better complimented with the dark arches.
Totaly agree

Fitted my spoiler today, hardest part was getting the old brake light out, I'm sure the shift my car was built on went overtime on the black seal on the old light, what a pain in the to get out, one full ack of Stanley blades and a few battle scars later its now fitted.
Ill post some pics up tomorrow once I've washed the car and their is a bit of day light.
I've left the spoiler java black and it's kind of growing on me, if not the cars in the body shop in a couple of weeks to get the rest of the body styling kit fitted so they could paint it silver then. Discovery 3 TDV6 Commercial 2007

Think in general they went OTT witht he high light bonding agent.
No different to what we went through to remove the original unit prior to fitting the spoiler. ATB

Just to add a note of caution.
Call your insurance company first berfore doing this modification, as they may not insure you.
I got caught out with the Coop, who say, the vehicle has been modified (didn't care that it is accessories, or OEM parts). It was modified and thefefore would no longer insure the vehicle.
Only way the Co would have accepted these accessories is if they were fitted at the build stage when leaving the factory.

Cheers.
Sikoflex or tiger seal will bond the spoiler. I sourced windscreen bond which has a quicker cure rate. Comes in a tube similar to silicone, but this gear is for automotive use.

Have manage to install mine today. Older stop lamp was a REAL PIG to get out. I finally take out mine in pieces, no pain as it was really deteriorated. Thank you Alan for this helpful thread.

Looks damn nice
+1 for sikaflex
One tube was more than enough, had loads leftover to reattach a glass mount roof antenna,
But after a few months (It was for a tv tuner that I never bothered fitting)
I decided to remove it....
I tell ya it took some doing as I couldn't prise it off in fear of cracking the glass roof.
Sharp flexi blade slid under soon wopped it off, and cleaned up well.
So with this in mind, I have absolutely no fear of the spoiler doing one on the motorway
