Alli will oxidise for sure, but you could wrap it in an Alli look wrap, bit like some of the caterhams I've seen of late "To finish first, one first has to finish ...."

Rock wool is great, but look up a product called Xtratherm, its available in 8x4 sheets, various thicknesses and has foil one side to reflect heat in, or protect heat out.....bond it to the roof with Tigerseal.
just had a load of it around at the time so used it up in my sankey Home of RLD Hidden winch mounts Spare wheel Locks Trailer Body Fabrication [email protected] D3/4 sump plates MY 14 sump plates and the Discovery Sport wheel protectors Discovery 5 wheel locks

Celotex is far more better in price and quality, at least I thought the same way as you.

Polish the roof to mirror finish and seal, this will help to reflect heat from the sun then apply insulation on the inside.MY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange

Personally, I'd paint it white or a lighter colour (perhaps a light gunmetal grey?) That way, it's the same type of finish as the rest (i.e. paint) and you won't have people asking why you painted the rest, but didn't paint the top
I assume you're using 2pack, so will be quite robust paint as long as you etch it properly. Bodsys Brake Bible

Have been following this topic with interest Adrian. Apologies for not getting round to saying hello at Hogmoor last Sunday by the way.
Have a great night tonight at the stag do. I guess if it's a really heavy night there may be a few more than just your mate spraying cars - but not with paint!!
Hope to catch up with you again soon and to seeing the final finished article. Clubs Mantec, Tasmods, LEDS, AT2s on 18s, Maxxis Bighorns on 17s, Remote FBH, BAS. ReMap, BSS., RLD Personalised SWP., Safari Snorkel, Faultmate, Three Musketeers & MUD
