Looks like your building the perfect trailer. I recently read a magazine article of building a Sankey trailer and thought to myself it was a good idea. Yours looks superb. I was considering buying a Sankey, keeping it low and fitting a rack on the top for bikes.
Is it easy to fit a normal hitch to them as I don't want to fit a Nato to my Baby

Wiggs, have you given any thought to a deployable wind turbine for supplemental electricity? I've seen trailers with yacht turbines hooked up for supplemental power when stationary. Might be a way to conceal the mechanism too. Just an idea.16 D4 Landmark

I would suspect you could change the hitch no problem .
You would loose the braking system ( well on mine with disk brakes anyway ) as the nato hitch also pushes the master cyclinder in when braking .G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

I am a bit foggy (not owning a trailer due to space/SWMBO restrictions) but isn't there a limit on the trailer weight un-braked? 750Kg sticks in my head.
Ollie27 - if you don't want the customer ronmogery required to use the NA receiver etc, why not fit a fixed tow bar, you can use a Dixon Bate drop plate with interchangeable NATO and standard tow balls then - no need for anything other than standard parts.

Keep watching the maplin sales, they are usually rubbish, but once in a blue moon you get a really good price on solar panels.
I have a pair of 15w panels on my shed that I put up their 4 years ago that run my garden lights (and other 12v stuff in the shed), got them cheap from Maplin.
The 5W battery saver ones are useful to stop general discharge by the way (Assuming you park outside, or inside with the lights on...)
15w panels at Maplin are £49.95 each at the moment.I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.
