mmm... chequer plate will be a bit more tricky! Can you not cut to size & fold etc & then clamp the plate tight & drill through both the plate & the steel? Would need to ensure that the plate doe snot move though.

The small amount I had to do that for, I just ensured that I put rivets in (not tightened) as many holes as possible as I drilled them through. You can then remove it and paint up as needed Thumbs Up

Got 5 of the doors drilled ready for riveting ..only 3 more left .

Ended up making a template to space the holes out , which seem to work for a while then they were going slighly off ....anyway seem to have sussed the spacing issue now .

Thats is for a week unfortunatly ..at hogmoor this weekend , then fly out to Kazakhstan Monday AM for 5 days .

You'll only loose the remote and be locked out from the beer and dinner Laughing

I am liking the look of the M1 Flush pull lockable latches myself (partly because its easy to cut a round hole with a cutter, than a square one!).

Are the hinges fixed or splitable?
locks should be fairly simply on that one, keyed alike with a different key for the beer so you can stop Lee from drinking it! Wink

Are you saw your flying to longlongwayastan next week...

A lot of ash is still being spewed out into the atmosphere and clouding Europe.

At least you get chance to work on the trailer.
