Some years ago I bought Xenon headlight assemblies for my D3, just a straight swap and reconfigure the CCF. Have worked faultlessly for around 10 years.

Hopefully you didn’t buy ones marked AFS
Make sure battery is nice and charged. Ideally connect a battery charger while you do it. (Recommended!)
You go into the config menu
Select tested parameters
Scroll down to find HID lights or similar. Select fitted
Then press update and follow on screen instructions.
Car dash and radio&CD will go mad for a while.
If the new lights have an extra bulb next to the side light, that the old didn’t have there are 2 corner light settings you can change to enable
Once happy the dip beam lights work. Reset clock

Hi buddy
I can’t find any leds for interior any ideas?
Pete K wrote:
No don't.
THey could/should fail at the MOT.
They fail and flash.
Worth change the interior lights to led though
I was expecting them to be H7

So I left the roof lights as standard
and replaced the door and footwell lights with LED (off ebay - a long time ago)
I put these led bulbs in my halogen headlight units and they are seriously incredibly bright - i would reccomend these anyday if you dont want to but second hand units and re-configure.

And a backwards step. The lights I had on my MY11 HSE were really poor cf the non-adaptive xenons I had on my D3. On high beam they were good for illuminating the overhead trees, absolutely useless for seeing the road ahead.

#not a fan of LEDs
Powerful do sell some £28 white leds if you want whiter/brighter reversing lights.

Well Pete I did it all. Both settings enabled. Yet no lights will check for fuses and bulbs are good but nothing. Any other ideas while under bonnet gratefully receivedPatman
