Update - Couple of weeks of running her around a bit - and all seems well. I've been very busy at work and not had chance to do a full update!
I did have a few teething issues - self created of course. The low pressure fuel lines (leak off lines from the injectors) didn't really like being taken off and then being refitted again, with two of the connectors being forced off under load - I tried to fix these several times - but I think they had just become a bit brittle and degraded to the point they didn't want to fit correctly - even with new O-rings a drip of diesel would still get past - collect - then drip somewhere hot!.
So I ended up shelling out for a whole new line (£100) and fitting that instead. Of course it then had to burn off all the excess diesel which had me worrying every time new parts of the engine got up to temperature, or a splash of diesel crept out from somewhere it had been hiding.
The fitment of the new line was nothing like trying to fit the old one - they came pre-greased and just slide in with no 'click' like the old ones, and the retaining clips (fiddly s) do their job.
Top tip - tie some cotton thread to those clips so when you do get it wrong - you don't loose them!
But now - MOT passed, and I can start using her as normal.
And - the Jaaaag has gone to a new home 2008 Disco 3 HSE TDV6 - Gone
2001 Disco 2 V8 - Gone
Other non-LR cars and motorbikes.
