Aberdeen Indy’s open for business in the current climate
Hi all, coming back to Landie ownership has been a steep learning curve & today a new fault appeared.
The car has been running fine recently, however it had a big journey of 500 miles coming up today - the first 200 miles, everything was fine, pulled over for a pee and when going back down the slip road, the red triangle of doom appeared and restricted performance message. It did indeed have a performance impeded too. Got it to the services a few miles away, turned it off and left it 5 mins whilst I looked around - all seemed good, fired it up again and it was fine again for another approx 200m then the same again, turning off and on again cleared the fault again, then approx 20m from my destination, i had the same together with the amber check engine light this time. Turning the engine off and on again cleared the restricted performance but the Amber check engine light remains, and I nursed it to the desination like this. As it currently stands the red restricted performance light has gone out but the Amber check engine light remains.
I’ll have to do the same journey in reverse in a week so really need to find a decent Indy around Aberdeen who can read the codes and do whatever needs to be done to clear it - so they need to be open this week.
Any of the locals know which places are up and running at the moment, or even any ideas I can check myself before I start ringing around tomorrow trying to get it sorted around work.2013, D4 XS

The only places I remember from my time up in Aberdeen are Greenbank 4x4 on the road up to Tullos S of the centre, and Dunecht 4x4 - a few miles W of town. No idea if they are open or can be persuaded to work...

Greenbank don’t seem to have been around for a while, stay away from Dunect is all I can say, I take my cars down the road to Mike and he’s always done a sterling job!I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!

For anyone interested in the resolution
Intermittent fault with the TSOV
Actuator moving freely
Solenoid actuating correctly, and holding vacuum when applied
Started testing the rest of the vac pipes, and found this

Thanks everyone for all the suggestions and in particular to Disco_Mikey for figuring it out and sorting it out in no time, really getting me out of a pickle. If anyone’s near Dundee I’d thoroughly recommend him and will certainly be using him again if I hit trouble when north of the boarder.
490 miles smashed out with only 1 brief stop for fuel yesterday - zero hiccups, empty roads and cruise control made it a breeze!
