Hi
I'll grab some tomorrow but ibmve just rolled from under it again and on close looking found that the bottom wishbone has moved back and into the centre of the car .
The bug round bolt head is about wuater of an inch from where it should be because it has a witness mark left where it was originally .
So I'm hoping that once its lessened up and relaxed it will ho back to where it should be or at the least be a start point
I'll get back tomorrow to you
Regards Baz

Ok so I've discovered the lower wish bone Is slightly ben and looks as the hub is also bent and new parts have been ordered.
I took it out for a run today and it threw up a cross articulation error with the big red sign and it lowered itself to its bump stops .
Will this error be because of the twist on the lower wish bone and hub or is this another issue I have.
Also ifvim replacing the bushes and joints will it need calibrating of the suspension after

Hi
Must admit , Personally I wouldn’t drive it at all , because of the unknown and in case something breaks etc
If any of the wishbones are out of alignment it can cause xmas tree lights
When u remove the wishbones , struts etc ur have a better idea
Indeed I think it would be extremely advisable to get it checked with a 4 x wheel hunter system , also getting it inspected by a specialist to ensure everything is 100%
When wishbones are replaced as a normal replacement it’s the front lowers and rear uppers that are adjustable
Hope all goes well and ur able to get it apart ok, if u don’t mind me adding please don’t ever get under it without axle stands
Will also be very interesting to see the condition of the wishbones
Hope that helps a little

Hi
Thanks for that
I've raised it to off rd height and normal height and lowered height .
And measured the difference with some weird results one corner the damaged corner was ok at standard height but lower than the other corner when fully extended and lowered down.
Which I would expect if something was miss aligned and bent .
I'll get these parts fitted and take another run in It .
Axel stands always mate I had one near do many years back under a 3litre capri and never ever get under on just a Jack.
The wishbone I'll take picks once they are off .
Regards Ba

Ur always very welcome
Didn’t wish to sound like I was teaching u how to suck eggs ref the axle stands
Wonder if the front height sensors may of been damaged depending on the impact they received ??
At least ur know better once the parts are removed to give u a better indication along side being able to compare rough measurement etc from the other side
Thks again for the update and look forward when u get started ref piccies plse

Well the lower arm is off and the hub is off, The hub looks fine but it seemed that the space berween the upper leg on the hub was a lot closer to the wheel than the drivers side.
so its getting replaced .
the lower wishbone was slightly buckled and it had also bent the pivot bolts on the wishbone fixing points,
the rear bolt was bent so bad it had grabbed in the bush and had to be cut out with the angle grinder
and it had actually torn the center steel sleve out of the rubber in the bush .
so new bolts and new hub and lower wishbone fitting tomorrow .
i will take some pics of the parts but there isnt a lot you can see as the damage wasnt that obvious
so if the pivot bolts are seized and bent and the wishbone is out of alignment would this be the possible cause of the cross articulation error.
and it also threw up the dsc warning temporarally but that went out of its own accord
Best regards Baz

After a lot of irritable problems on this truck it's now done
The bottom wishbone is replaced as is the hub ,the screen is replaced and also the dash ,both the airbags are replaced and four tyres, all the pinion bolts are brand new for the wishbone as well as new brake sensors and both the mutiplugs for the height sensors on the front are new and the front bumper has been flatted down from adriatic blue and sprayed to the correct zambezi silver, the starting rack has also been replaced
Most of the time taken was waiting for parts .
Once it was running then came all sorts of faults with electrical gremlins but as a matter of course all have been solved and yesterday it was rough aligned on the steering by mesuring with angle gauges and tape measure to get it something like.
It has then been run out and approx 80 miles done and seems ok
So next is the 4wheel alignment then it's done.
If I decide to keep it then I think a gap tool is a must and will have to invest into one as idont see how I could run one without .
If I cant fix it I dont want it ate my rules.
Here are some pics of the job

Many thks for the pics and great work there sorting it out
If I may add plse, that after u get ur 4 x wheel alignment done, recheck ur steering wheel angle sensor
I was amazed the difference when I replaced my rear upper wishbones and then had the alignment done, Was impressed with the ride quality along with how quiet it was
Thks again for sharing the pics and plse let us know what u think after alignment has been done
Ps, Also the U fault codes can normally be ignored
