Hiya
Many thks ref location,, If I remember correctly the black ones are for the front and red inside
I’m afraid I don’t know ref the carsoft reader , hope someone else may be able to advise u on that
Is this the one you’ve ordered, as I see it will reset and read codes, reset steering wheel angle sensor , but not sure if it will reset the crash data
So u may be lucky after fitting new bits of it clearing everything but alas won’t know this till u try
The gap iid will also cover suspension calibration k they do sometimes come up for sale via this forum, Bluetooth is better as u can use ur iPad/ iPhone
Hope the link is useful to

Just another blind purchase
I too bought mine without a physical look see, but from a certified dealer, I guess. Mine was in a better shape than yours however it looks like you know how to turn a wrench, I find that's the most important thing, and you found the right spot for info. The guys and gals here are great at helping us figure out our issues.
Good you have a diagnostic tool I got a IID Gap tool and it was the best $500 I spent.
You can also find alot of info on the wiki including manuals and electric schematics, etc.
Good luck and enjoy the ride, and the rabbit hole.2005 Land Rover D3, 4.4L V8, Maya Gold Metallic

Hi
I kinda like the challange if im honest .
just a quick question, on the rear wheels the tyres are 255/55/19 and on the front they are 255/50/19
will this give me issues with the auto box or diffs etc specificly im talking about winding up diffs and boxes .

Hi guys
Ok so after a busy week its almost done and all the code have been cleared using the icarsoft lr2 diagnostics its pretty good for the cash it costs .
so now its put back together ive a new issue .
the wheel that took the impct is further back in the arch than it should be
now where is the damage likly to be as i cant see any obvious bends or twist to any of the wish bone suspension parts .
the only thing i can see is the air leg looks out of line if you look at the pics you will see what i mean.
but never having these air suspension before i dont know if this is normal.
Anyone got any suggestions .
thanks Guys in advance

Not sure but...
I think you need to go to a front end shop they could measure things up and tell you what you would need, I think any guess would not be accurate without measurements of the alignment. I wouldn't think anyone here could tell you accurately from pictures.2005 Land Rover D3, 4.4L V8, Maya Gold Metallic

It is the leg that is set back further than it should be by around 2 inch .
Are the legs a rubber bag alone or is there a steel shaft inside the bag that could be bent .

Thanks for that
I'm wondering if its the inner strut thats bent and sending the wheel backwards 0
If you look at my pics the strut black band isnt equal it's at an angle with the wider part to the front and the narrow end of the band at the rear
What part of the suspension stops the wheel moving backward and forward in the wheel arch
You have two wishbones top and bottom and two ball joints going into the hub
But what part of the setup stops the wheel moving back towards the door

Hi
Glad it helps
Indeed the wishbones hole the wheel, brakes etc , Also wondered if the pins have been bent that hold the wishbones on
Have u got any pics showing the lower part of the suspension plse , More the better , can then at Least see better of possible damaged areas
Could then at least get a head start of parts req to be replaced, but of course ultimately at the end of the day as mentioned , it will req a professional with alignment equipment to ensure 100% it’s all aligned correctly
Look forward if u have if some more piccies plse, thks
