Failed MOT inner sill. Took off the factory side step which I think has been on there from new, and the back end is scary very big hole can fit my fist in. Going in Monday to see what the welder can do. Landybandy you are local to me what was the fabrication company you used and do they do the sill kits you mentioned in another thread? Or did that never materialise. I'm to afraid to take off the other side🙄. Maybe it is best to weld on some heavy duty steel Rocksliders as others have mentioned 😂

Hi guys, first post.
I noticed the side bar on my D3 was hanging down a bit at the rear, first thoughts were corroded cills.
Removed the bar and cill cover to reveal the mounting brackets were totally rusted through. The cills were in great shape, sprayed Dinitrol through the grommets and undersealed the outer parts.
The sidebars were factory fitted as part of a “bright pack”
The s/s side bars are in great shape, any ideas where to buy new brackets.
