Fuel filter changed now won’t start HELP |
|
I have changed the fuel filter and now the car won’t fire . I have double checked all connections and have fuel coming through the bleed valve but she still won’t fire ! Is it worth trying to put fuel,in the filter and re fitting it ?

Did you bleed enough through the valve, you need to bleed quite a lot through on the old type filters.

If you gavd bled all the air out of the bleed valve you just need to keep cranking it takes a long time but it will start.
You also need to make sure you have the pipes on right, if the two small pipes are the wrong way round it will blow the injector bleed off pipes off.

three times says the manual. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Yep, engines love it, just like drugs one shot and they are hooked, engine repairers love it, knackers even the best engines up It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

What does it actually do to the engine? Does anyone know Metal auto sump & fluid change (3 hrs)
LR door puddle projectors (10 mins)
Tinted Bonnet wind deflector (10 mins)
All Intercooler pipes and Tbolts (2hrs)
3 injectors replaced so far (30mins)
Sunroof drain pipes both sides 2.5 hrs)
Rear discs, shoes, pads, callipers, flexi hoses, rigid brake line, n/s upper hub carrier bush and rear n/s upper arm (13hrs over 2 days)

Its ether I believe, raises compression pressures and ignites. As M3DPO states can do damage to engine if used too enthusiastically . I remember LR specifically advising not to be used on the old indirect injection engines as it can crack the head. I used it on my old 1960's diesel LR when the heater plugs failed, until I learnt better. Never used it since.
