| Fuel Filter How ****** Much ! |

Having had over the last 20 years a 300 TDi and a TD5, on both of which the fuel filter (OEM) was about £12 I find the D4 filter coming out at £30-£40 (or more for a genuine).
Looking at it it's just a slightly tubbier version of the early ones so how come it costs so much !!!
I can't believe the filtering is any more critical than on the TD5 which had a very high pressure system, on top of which the housing is another £40+ on top if you've got the 'Restricted Performance' bug.

Anyone requiring a genuine fuel filter may find this link interesting.
