Just had a shock.
I went into Matford LR for a browse while SWMBO was otherwise engaged. They had two Disco 4's in the showroom. One, a Landmark, was priced at just a few shekels short of £58k. The other. an SE Tech was the same price. Admittedly it was a showroom model and so had a shed load of extras fitted but that price is way way above what I paid in Nov 15.
If that's an indicator of what is to come vis a vis the D5, it'll be out of my price bracket.  I have my name dowm for the F Pace launch day in April. Hopefully that will be within my budget.  Never take life too seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway.

Heard from a colleague who is looking at buying a new D4 that the stealer had indicated the D5 maybe as much as £15k more - if thats the case, then it will be out of many peoples price bracket. It may have just a sales ploy for him to sign for the D4 but you never know. MY2012 D4 HSE Nara Bronze with some extra stuff

It's not all bad, I am paying virtually the same for a graphite as I did three and a half years ago for my XS. Joined the BMWX5 45e group

This tallies with my dealers thoughts/hints at the the future. List price for my current D4 was £66k, I was told when negotiating on it they reckon a loaded D5 will be more like £80k MY06 S - Gone but not forgotten

I have ordered a new 16 plate Graphite in Santorini Black with privacy glass and the 5 year service pack. I will be paying £43557 total.
List price with the metallic paint, glass and service pack is £49199.
I have also managed to get luxury carpet mats, rubber floor mats, boot liner, black and silver badges, front and rear mud flaps for just over £400

I bought mine from Land Rover in Reading. Ordered in mid March, delivery mid May. They had a 9% discount offer on their website but it has now been removed. The offer was for a factory build with or without finance.
Others have got better discounts but I am rubbish at negotiations (I am just excited that they are prepared to sell me a new Discovery!). The best deals seem to be for cars that dealers have already ordered. You get them quicker and cheaper but you can't specify all the factory options you might want. There were a few left at Reading when I went in but none to the spec I wanted. They said the next batch will be ordered in June. Would be worth asking a few dealers when they think they may have more of these cars available.
Remember, production ends soon and factory orders are on a 2 month lead time.

The current pricing trend is crazy, but LRs bubble will burst at some point. I've got 3 options come trade in time. Keep the current Disco until it falls to bits, go back to a Disco Sport or move brand. 23.5MY Defender 90 X-Dynamic SE D250 MHEV Pangea Green
