Is that a library photo del? I'm surprised you'd bother to take a 'fresh' pic of it on a flat bed TBH

Wifey said to take a pic to add to the others.
But a braver man than me would refuse.

She's tucked up in bed at Frank Ogg's, waiting their attention tomorrow. Spoke to the workshop manager/foreman (Mark) so he knows the symptoms. Going to get new belt fitted when tensioner is done. Hope it's quick as snow is forcast for Friday.

Was visiting Frank Oggs today and it was rather busy, lots of older Land Rovers in for a change. Hope you get your car back for Friday, forecast is looking good
Your car wasn't outside at 4.30pm today so reckon it's maybe early on tomorrow mornings job sheet.

Getting done today and I'll be £240 poorer as WD don't cover it. New tensioner and belt being fitted. Anything else worth replacing whist they are in there? Hopefully without having to sell a kidney.

Wow - the parts are only £85 and it should only take half an hour for them to fit them.
Do they charge £310 per hour labour?
They saw you coming, Del...

Tell me about it, it includes half hour to diagnose it even though I told them what it is. Should have got the car recovered to Guava in Guildford but then I'd have had to drive it back up.
Parts are ~£90+VAT and 1.4 hours labour, 0.4 used already to see what's wrong, an hour allowing half an hour if it's seized on. £103+VAT labour rate. Should hopefully be less. Will be getting the parts back so can have a look but deffo needed done and daft not to spend ~£30 on a new belt while they are in there.

Could have done but didn't think about it. Also assumed it was going to be covered by WD, it's not & now I read the small print I can see that. Hey ho, it's only money. Just glad it's gone now & not in the Pyrenees or half way up Sweden (planned trip next year).

Also took me under 1/2 hr to change this ( without fan removal), £59 for the tensioner delivered. They are well and truly screwing you Derek.
