Suspension advice required

I've just had to fit a new compressor (was Hitachi now AMK used Disco Mikey's excellent 'How to'). However all is not well!

A) forgot to fit little brass insert into air pipe before inserting pipe into junction and now can't get it out again to rectify.

B) pump seems to run constantly before tripping out. Getting " vehicle will raise slowly" message. It works for about 20 mins them warning light comes on with "suspension fault" message.

Are the brass insert and pump not stopping likely to be linked ( I sprayed junction with soapy water and there doesn't appear to be a leak. Anyone know how to get pipe back out of junction block?
Also wondered if it could be a dodgy relay. Got a new one with compressor. Read somewhere I could swap it with rear screen relay as it's same. Is this correct?

At the head scratching stage so any help appreciated.

Cheers

Raymond

Hi, I'm not quite sure if I am posting in the right place. I have a suspension question. I have just replaced the compressor on my wifes disco3. It has solved the problem and the suspension is fine now, the only thing is, it sinks a little at traffic lights etc, then comes back up again when you pull off, it never used to do this before it broke. Is there something wrong or am I just paranoid now?

That doesn't sound right. I'm in the middle of trying to get a similar problem with mine sorted just now. Latest advice I've had is to get a soft wear update done as I changed model of pump and seemingly car needs to be told it's not a Hitachi pump but now it's an AMK one!

Update getting done by Disco Mikey on Monday. Will let you know if this solves problem and you could get it done.

Hi, how did you get on? I replaced my Hitachi pump with a new Hitachi pump, so I wonder if my problem is the same as yours??!

Soft wear update was done and did resolve pump problem as it now resets itself every time I turn on ignition. However, you'll not be surprised to hear that wasn't the root of problem. It appears there is a leak In the system somewhere but finding out where is a 'mare.
Looks like you may have same issue so first one to find a solution, let the other one know!
Sorry couldn't be more useful.

Cheers,

Raymond
