Socket for crankshaft bolt?

I need a good quality 21mm 3/4 drive socket to remove the D3 crankshaft bolt. I could not get enough leaverage with my 1/2 drive, so put on my 1/2 to 3/4 adaptor, and promptly sheared it. It's Censored tight.

What make do folks use. I can't seem to find a Snap On one.

Any ideas on where to get a good quality one from?

Thanks
John

I have the Halfords 3/4" drive professional set so used that with a 40" breaker bar.

I used a 21mm 1/2" impact socket, with an 18" breaker bar and a 2m galvanised pipe. No problem whatsoever.

I tried with a Halfords 21mm 1/2 inch drive, with a 18 inch breaker, and couldn't budge it. Clearly not enough wheatabix for breakfast. Unfortunately I don't have a long scaffold pipe to extend the leaverage. I do have a large 500nm torque wrench but this is 3/4 inch drive. So have ordered a Teng socket, and will have a go with this wound right up to 500nm.

Thanks for all the replies. Thumbs Up

Cheers
John
