Steve (BoringOldGit) It would be good to link to the right parts on your site from the wiki pdf but I can't find the Alternator or full replacement kit now Are you still supplying them?

The following links would be good at the bottom of end of the guide:

VISCOUS FAN HOLDING TOOL
http://www.advancedfactors.co.uk/vs095-vis...2223-p.asp

VISCOUS FAN 32MM / 36MM SPANNER
http://www.advancedfactors.co.uk/vs0923-vi...2231-p.asp

REPLACEMENT ALTERNATOR
link???

REPLACEMENT ALTERNATOR KIT (includes all parts above plus free deliver)
link???

Cheers, Dan.

I appreciate what you are doing but if I switch the links on it will cause me grief as I can't get the product until the end of Feb - perhaps just point to the holding page? and list the part numbers
DAN987 is the offending unit.

Slovakia 2013 Discovery 4 3.0 TDV6 S Auto Baltic BlueDiscovery 4

Why are you guys also replacing the front belt when changing alternator?
I had the oil pump and all the belts replaced 2 months ago. Last week the alternator failed, shorted battery , leaving car completelly dead. Since there was no new unit available around, a local specialist replaced bearings, brushes, stator and rectifier diode bridge.
Did some 400km since then, battery still alive but new one is on the way as the old battery (7 years old) seems to be the reason why the alternator might have failed-prolonged charging at full power is not something these Denso units are designed for Evil or Very Mad (based on the info from the specialist).

Shall i change the belt now as well?
