Hello! Excited to be on the forum. I am a somewhat recent transfer from a 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited that I had built from stock to a pretty mean machine. Having two kids under 5 the Jeep wasnt working out anymore (Per the wife). I landed on an LR3 and after a couple of scary weeks I am 100% sold and may never drive another vehicle again. I had no idea that i would enjoy buiding this truck more than the Jeep, and in all honesty never really knew people did this with them. I'm so happy I found a truck I love, and a community with the widest reach I have ever seen.

Evening Everyone,
Been using this excellent site as a resource whilst I search for my first Disco - it's been invaluable so far and has steered me away from a couple of 'tired' examples now that I've got a better knowledge of the right questions to ask
Still looking for my first one as a result, but I'm sure the "one" will come along at some point.

Hello everybody!
Just bought my first Discovery 3 but been into Land Rovers for 25+ years. I've had everything from a Series II up to my D3 (but nothing military yet..). Highlights include a Series III Dormobil, a CVC registered Range Rover Classic 300Tdi manual with all of the P38 gadgets and one of the last ever D2s registered six months after the D3 was released.
My plans for my D3 are to use it as a family holiday wagon with related additons such as a roof tent so will be looking to learn more about that.
I'd also be interested to learn about diagostics now that Land Rovers are getting so complicated. Are there any courses or can someone teach me?!
Cheers!

My VW Affair
Hi there,
Kevin here in Dublin. I'm a VW man at heart owning a lot of Golfs as my daily up until late last year I picked up a lovely D3 SE in the UK which I have now commercialised. Happy to say I'm a Disco man now.
It came colour-coded except for the back and came with the grille but now on the hunt for a Beanie grille. Are they still being made?
The first thing to go where 20" RRS wheels in favour of Compomotive PD1881 and A/T.
I have de-ambered the fronts and added a light film on the backlights to tone them down before adding G4 guards front and back.
Next on the list is to colour code the back of it.
Any feedback or advice welcomed.
Thanks,
Kevin

Hi All
Hi
I'm a new owner to a Disco 3 2008. Only had the car a few days but getting intermittent warning lights already. It seems to be almost the norm from what i have read.

Hi cheesecob and welcome.
Not sure what you mean by "fleet number"
Do you mean the VIN (vehicle identification number)?Uncle Ray's spare wheel protector
Limo Tint
Blackvue front & rear dashcam
Cruise control switch pack
Bodsy's remote for FBH

New joiner.
Hi everyone, will be acquiring a 2014 D4 soon as predominantly a tow car. I also have a ‘61 series 2. I have so many questions and thank everyone in advance for all the useful stuff here on the forum. We live half in Shropshire and half in Cornwall. Glad to be aboard.

Hi everyone!
Greetings from Belgrade, Serbia.
I'm new to an old 2008 TDV6 HSE D3 i've just purchased. Loved LR since i can remember, but never was the time or i didn't have courage to own one.
Having owned only new cars (Fiesta, Rav4, Seat Leon, 320d coupe, M135i, 520d, Octavia VRS), decided to add some thrills to my life ditching 4 year old car and buying 12 yrs old one (that's built on my birthday in 2008.)
Love it, still, despite it lighting up compressor failure lamp within 1st 2 hours of me owning it and gearbox juddering worse and worse (during testdrive it only did slightly when driving uphill at 1600rpm - now every gear, flat or hill, 1600-1900 rpm). Will have it fixed properly tho, this thing seems worth it!
On the other LR stuff, last august i had amazing journey with a '75 SIII 88' Belgrade to Transfagarasan to Belgrade in 3 days with 0 clutch. Best adventure ever
So far it seems i will love the LR journey, and will learn how to live on a tight budget
