well I'm about to join the D4 club ! deposit down on a 13 plate HSE .
currently have a 110 defender USW , and 3 defenders and 1 D1 before that , and a long time ago a series 2a.
I know I'm going to miss the 110 but after looking and test driving I know it makes sense

Hello from the Charente maritime Lady owner of 23yr old discovery now an old friend, still soldiering on with its daily duties pulling horse trailers. I have just bought a 2006 Disco3 to step into its shoes when the time comes. Would be greatful for any advise to keep it as economical and maintainance free as the first one! Viv

Good evening one and all. Just joined the forum though have owned a Disco 4 for nearly 7 years of totally trouble free motoring - guess it was not built on a Friday!!! Anyway, I’m now at the point where I need to replace both lower front suspension arms as well as discs and pads all around (55k miles) and thought I would be able to pick up some good advice on here as to where/who/how much, etc.
Now, where’s that “Search” button....

Welcome all to the forum and here's to many years of trouble free motoring. Well, we can but dream
Joyrider - may I suggest that you don't use your actual postcode as your location in your details. Uncle Ray's spare wheel protector
Limo Tint
Blackvue front & rear dashcam
Cruise control switch pack
Bodsy's remote for FBH

Hello all, ex TD5owner live in Fife, retired offshore techi, ex RAF aircraft tech and a few other spannering jobs in between.
Have just reserved a 15 plate Disco4 HSE luxury with 40k miles, full LR service history, white with blackpack, going to see it next week and if all well pay the balance and drive off into the sunset...well rain probably.......
Here’s the question, top ten things to look out for??
Thanks in advance
Cheers

Hello everyone!
My name is Bruno and I live in Switzerland.
A couple of months ago I traded in my Alfa 159 SW for a 2007 Discovery 3 TDV6 HSE.
The vehicle is Stornoway gray and has covered 168.000km (104.000 mi) and has full LR service history.
It makes a great team with my Silverstone gray 2002 Honda S2000
I really love driving it and just being on it!
I have read enough on this forum to recognize the valuable knowledge residing in here!
I would like to introduce my D3 in more detail and ask for some specific advice. Should I start a dedicated topic on my D3? If yes, what is the most appropriate location?
Thank you all in advance!

First Time Landrowner - straight to the V8 |
|
Having wanted a D3 since I sat in one at the London Motor Show in 2005, I finally bought into the clan last week. I travelled half way across the country in a 6 hour, 3 train, 1 tube, 1 bus, 1 lift, 2 walk journey to be the first viewer of a 2005 V8 SE with only 56K Miles on the clock, 2 previous owners (incl demo) and 11 LR dealer stamps in the service book. Needless to say I put my credit card on the table and the V8 wafted me home.
A rail commuter into London on weekdays and a recreational aviator by weekend, this is my ideal tow vehicle for a 12m glider trailer, after 8 pretty good years with a Subaru Outback and 5 excellent years before that with a Jaguar XJR 4.0 S/C.
Anticipate lots of questions to follow ... but none of them will relate to Diesel engines.
