2008 Interiors

2008 Interiors in my gallery including new Leather on HSE, metallic finish on all models and real wood on HSE or piano black no cost option. 8 way adjust seat and power lumbar on SE and HSE and Bluetooth address book download on all with PTI.

Order books opened today and production starts 30th April so HSE's will soon look out of date, even the 2007 model. That should be good for residuals Sad

Dealer told me that D3 residuals have fallen from 60% after 3yrs 36mths to 48%. Not surprised if they do things like this.

New interiors do look really nice though and real wood will make a difference.

I do have the one for RRS but you can hardly notice the difference. There is a rubberised tray in front of the nav screen as in D3 and the same metallic treatment. Apart from that there aren't many changes.

That top right picture is wierd - text looks different on the IHU too, and there seems to be some kind of slot above the screen, and whats with the new Auto gear selector?

I have the piano black interior already, so that will help mine look newer Whistle

The new leather seats look great - like the RRS HSE. Very welcome.

Yes, Ive noticed in AutoExpress that the retained value of a HSE after 3 yrs has now dropped to 48%. It was 68% when I purchased mine! I do wonder now if the car will be worth less than the final balloon payment on my finance Twisted Evil

D3matt, you say you have the piano black interior already. Do you have the part codes for the bits? Also how much did they cost?

Do you think you can retro-fit the 2008 interior bits?

Aparently 2008.5 or 2009 model will include options for ACC and the IHU will inlcude buttons to speed dial LRA with your location and an emergency call facility - only 4 years behind Volvo! Perhaps the pic with these on is a prototype for then?

See the piano dash kit in my gallery. I purchased it on eBay. It was in a box for the burr walnut kit, so I guess someone had swapped them over. The box had a LR barcode and price of £950+VAT Shocked However, they are now less than half that new from LR.
The Disco3 accessories brochure only shows the burr walnut and grey birds eye maple kits. I do wonder if the piano black was for an overseas market. However, I suspect they are now available or will be soon.

Interesting. So what happens for the 2009 interior/exterior "cosmetic refresh"? Or is this it?

The heated seats did not move, they are in the center of the tempature dials like always, at least they are in the middle photo.

What's cool is that the silver trim matches what LRNA did to my truck!
The photo below is with the older smoky silver color. Since these were shot, it's been repainted a lighter silver color, very similar to the top images in the PDF
