It depends on what is seized... You will need to strip it down and find out...

Sounds like you need to find a new garage. There would be a queue down your street for people who would do that work for half that Whistle

Nothing difficult about them anyway. Just make sure the bags are filled with air before the car is lowered fully to the ground Thumbs Up

I am not a mechanic, but I finished fixing my EPB module last night (with help from two brothers)

I did actually video the module in action once we'd fixed it. See http://offroad.group-k.co/disco3epbmodule.MP4 for epb in operation.
Might help to demostrate what is supposed to move when it is all jammed up! I assume i'm right in guessing the first bit of this video is the self-adjusting mechanism. I expect Disco Mikey will correct me if this is not the case.

There's a ford near my house, but it hardly ever gets deeper than about 18 inches! Wink Exclamation

Thanks for all the helpful stuff. Managed to get lid off epb unit but need advice on how to turn the brass rod. Can't get small grips onto it due to lack of clearance.

I have struggled at times, with a 48" lever, to unjam it. It may be very tight, and require some perseverance Thumbs Up

A hammer and chisel may be needed for the initial "shock" to free it off

I managed to get a little more space round the shaft by removing a small web of plastic right next to the motor housing, just above the shaft (using long-nosed pliers) this enabled me to get a pair of water pump pliers onto the rod. You can just see this on the video: http://offroad.group-k.co/disco3epbmodule.MP4 Also check you're turning it the right way! Thumbs Up
Hope this helps...

Hi Disco Trek

I can not watch you vide, coudl resend it again?

DM, Unfortunately I arrived late to your post, since I had to change the module EBP Big Cry

Once I have the old one, I would like to see what´s happened.
I have read your post carefully and I find it very interesting that the dealer change it when you have the possibility to fix it.

As far as I know, this link still works: www.offroad.group-k.co/disco3epbmodule.MP4
You might be able to get some better pictures of the inside of the old module, as yours is not on the vehicle.
