Tdv8 and Brembos
have a FFRR vogue whilst my D3 is in dealer. Well impressed with Tdv8 and moreso with Brembos. RE feels rather old tech otherwise IMO. Best solution tdv8 and brembos on D3. Is this ever likely? LR are you listening!

You can fit the Brembo's on the D3 fairly easily. Someone on here has done it as I recall....Bodsys Brake Bible

Personally, I don't see the point in having Brembo's!
To me it's like Russia saying they've got a better nuclear arsenal than the US.
We'll never know until it happens!!!
In most situations, if one drives correcty and anticipates hazzards, plasticine brakes should be good enough!...... always on the road less travelled 🚧
I am sure Simonsi has fitted the Brembos front and rear

Plasticine is uncommon over here.
Has anyone tried Play-Doh brakes?

Brembo´s are a bolt on fit with no issues (you´ll need 19" wheels though), I also fitted the matching bigger rear discs (use the std calipers and pads) from the V8 models.
IMHO all tuned D3´s should look to bigger brakes in the same way the V8 D3 comes with bigger brakes than the TDV6....
I tow a boat quite a bit, all up weight of the train is approx 4500Kg and I have to say the Brembos are very reassuring.Cheers

Isn't there a 3.0 tdv6 in the pipeline for next year?
That should make 230bhp+ I supose with matching brakes.

I seem to remember a post from TFC who said that the TDV8 would fit in the D3 if LR wanted it to (which they obviously don't )2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE AutoBuckingham Blue 2007 Golf GT DSG

I must admit that I often feel that the standard brakes on the TDV6 sometimes lack a bit of bite and it can sometimes feel like they are underpowered for such a heavy vehicle....
....but if you've ever used them in anger I think you'd have to agree that they are very very effective and bring the D3 to a stop much quicker than you'd imagine.2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE AutoBuckingham Blue 2007 Golf GT DSG

I hear from a reliable source, that the TDV8 will stop being produced soon. Sadly it will never be offered in a D3.
That would be surprising after such a short production run during which it is a keystone of both the FFRR and RRS ranges. Replacing it with a new engine common to the D3 will give the FFRR marketing men kittens I would have thought.
Sure your source wasn't referring to the N/A V8 petrol?? That has already been knocked out of large sections of the D3 markets so must be a candidate for dropping....Cheers
